About us

The School of Marketing has been created to solve the looming talent crisis in the marketing industry. We aim to solve this by engaging and informing young adults on what’s hot in marketing and how they can pursue and have a successful career in the industry.

To do this we have teamed up with leading experts from companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Unilever, Santander, Direct Line Group, Pearson and Marketing Week, to bring students the latest trends, insights and advice from leaders in the industry. We have also partnered with Young Enterprise Scotland to take the programme to schools nationwide and will also be featured in Pearson’s Introduction to Marketing text book by Kotler et al.

Foundation in Marketing

A student’s journey in the School of Marketing begins with an interactive course consisting of 5 modules in order to complete the Foundation in Marketing. The course contains case studies, videos and interactive exercises from the best marketers across the UK and beyond. This is followed by a 20 question, multiple choice ‘Quiz’ that they must pass in order to attain a certificate of completion from the School of Marketing. The course should take approximately 1 hour to complete.

The Ice Cream Business Dream!

To inject some fun and encourage students to implement their learnings from the course in a real-world environment, we have teamed up with Walls, to help them find their next big ice cream. Together, we have created a competition called ‘The Ice Cream Business Dream!’

In this competition, students will need to submit a two-minute video explaining their dream ice cream and brand, as well as a marketing plan with the winner receiving a year’s supply of free ice cream from Walls!

The ‘Founding 50’

At the School of Marketing, we're looking for marketers from all spheres of business to get involved to help inspire the next generation to consider a career in the industry.

To help with this we are on the look out for 50 Founding Members of the School of Marketing to be our ambassadors and help spread the word about how exciting, creative and dynamic a career in marketing can be.

Could this be you?
